General Course Instructions

When/Where
We will be meeting at Harrison’s Rock’s Car park promptly at your course start time
(your instructor will meet you at the toilet block)
What to Wear
Please wear loose clothing which you don’t mind getting dirty or putting holes in.
Rock Climbing is notoriously adventurous and you might get muddy or covered in

For your Feet
As far as footwear is concerned, please wear SOFT SOLED shoes. Hard walking boots

of the rock. Trainers are ideal.
What not to wear
If you normally wear jewellery, especially rings, it is advisable to leave these at
home. ! If it’s hot, you may want to avoid wearing shorts as you may lose the skin
from your knees!
Food
If your course is all day, please remember to bring a packed lunch. You might also
like to bring a drink or flask.

If it is raining on the day of your course, it is more than likely that we will still go
ahead. In exceptional circumstances it may be that the course will be postponed,
but please still turn up if it looks like rain, there’s always plenty to do. Please bring
waterproof outer clothing !
