Rope setting on Sandstone can be a tricky business and to ensure that we protect this fragile rock, a standard of rope setting specified by the Sandstone Code of Conduct must be met at all times.  This course will take you through the correct way to set up your ropes safely and in line with the guidelines specified by the BMC.

Perfect For: Anyone looking to learn rope set-ups for climbing on Southern Sandstone.

Aim: To teach you how to set up your own ropes for top roping on Southern Sandstone.

Equipment: Provided

Duration: 2.5 Hours

Weather: Courses are rarely weather affected, we will notify you in the unlikely event we need to postpone.

Difficulty: These sessions will introduce you to rock climbing and inspire you to continue the sport. Knowledge of climbing knots is useful but not essential.

Starter Pack

All equipment for your course is included, but if you’d like your own starter pack please tick here. It’s a saving of £17.90 at £165 and includes everything you need to get started independently. This includes a rope, a rigging rope, helmet, harness, guidebook, belay device and two karabiners. Your starter pack will be delivered directly to you when you start your course.
