Single Pitch Award (SPA) Assessment

The skills needed to supervise groups of novice climbers in potentially hazardous environments are different to those required to climb safely with friends.
Our Single Pitch Award Assessment (SPA) takes place in the Dartmoor National Park. It provides training and assessment on how to organise and supervise safe, effective and enjoyable sessions for relatively novice climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. The courses are run under the Mountain Training (MT) umbrella.
The assessment courses are run over two days – normally a weekend, however additional courses are always being arranged. If the dates below do not suit you please contact us to get the latest dates.
